Student Spotlight

GeoChamp Geography Coaching is very proud of their student, Kaylan Patel. Kaylan joined our Coaching Program in August 2016 and was with us for 4 full years, till August 2020. Under our guidance and coaching, he won several accolades in geography and brought glory to himself, his family and our Coaching Program. A few of his outstanding accomplishments in the field of geography is given for your reading pleasure!

Awards and Accomplishments of Kaylan Patel
 

• Geography Bee School Champion at Windermere Preparatory for 5 years in a row-2016-2020 (since 4th grade)
• Florida State Geography Bee Champion -- in 2018 and 2019 
• Represented Florida in the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC GEOBEE Finals @ Washington DC for 2 years--2018 and 2019  and placed in the Top Ten at the National Championships in 2019.
• Winner of the first prestigious ‘Dynamic Storyteller Award’ - presented by National Geographic GeoBee in Washington D.C, presented by CBS morning news host Mo Rocca for someone who will change the world through their charisma and speech. (2019)
• -June 2019 competed in the United States Geography Bee Championships organized by International Academic Competitions and Houghton Mills  
• - First place in the US Geography Bee championships for Middle School Division – Chicago, Illinois, June 2019  
• -Qualified  twice to be part of team USA  to compete in the International Geography Bee World Championships 
• -July 2018 International Geography Bee World Championships 
• -Placed 5th in the world with 2 gold medals and 1 bronze medal 

 
 

• -2019 – 1st place- Senior Geography Bee National Champion by North South Foundation  ( South Asian organization in the USA organizing multiple Bees) 
• -2018- 2nd place in National Senior Geography Bee by NSF
• -2017- 2nd place in National Senior Geography Bee by NSF
